Hello darling Alpaca team, 

Well, it’s the last team letter of the year, and it’s coming to you today (friday!) because it’s time to close our doors for the year. The inventory is counted. The office is clean (and gorgeous). The emails are queued up. And it feels amazing to see our team tucked into your families, friends, and homes to enjoy the holiday. You did amazing work this week and I’m very grateful for it and proud of you.

Honestly:

I love each of you so much.

I love US so much. 

I love each of you so much, and I love us so much. 

I hope you feel celebrated by our company. We are still really small and working to achieve big things. I want to acknowledge that we don’t yet have some of the benefits, pay, perks, and bonuses that you might have at other companies. We will get there, and I can’t wait to get there (and we are ALL working to get there!). 

But, I’m also so grateful for the ways this team makes our own benefits, our own fun, our own traditions and joy. I love Mariah Carey parties and homemade treats in the office and serenades for our team and birthdays and anniversaries and shared meals SO MUCH. Thank you for making our own “benefits plan” happen. 

As a teeny, tiny moment of gratitude, we’re sending you a little Christmas bonus today.  It will be in your hands on the 26th. I hope you spend it on something that makes you so happy, comfortable, safe, strong, silly, or joyful. 

Thank you for ALL of your extraordinary work this year, and thank you for being your extraordinary selves. I love you and I love us.
